St. Croix, USVI

Some years ago I took my younger son, Tucker, to St. Croix for some scuba diving.  He was getting his PADI certification, and I was taking an UW photography course.  The island itself is very pretty, but unlike other Caribbean island where I’ve traveled, we did have some theft problems here.  

The island feels of its colonial past—both good and bad.  Christiansted Harbor is picturesque, and there are many fine beaches.  But beware, it was when we went to a deserted beach that our rental car was broken into!
