Thaidaho Asian Treats
semi-retired
After 14 years, Thaidaho Asian Treats has ‘semi-retired,’ and is now making food only for our guests at Thaidaho Victor B&B
Before food trucks were a ‘thing’—we opened up our commercial food truck business in 2005. From the outset we focused on cooking and serving great-tasting Asian street food for fair and reasonable prices. By doing so we made many friends who sought us out at the Art Fairs in Jackson Hole; Music on Main concerts in Driggs and later in Victor; Farmers Markets in Driggs and Jackson; various Beer Festivals, Jazz Concerts and along the river walkway in Idaho Falls; and at various special events, parties and weddings around Teton Valley.
For 12 years we never missed vending a music festival at Grand Targhee Resort. If you ever had chicken green curry, Korean bibimbap, or fresh-squeezed lemon-lime-gingerade at a Targhee music festival—that was us! Targhee was a humbling experience: at times our customers stood in line for over an hour just to buy our food, and many told us they looked forward to our food as much as they did the music. But at times Targhee could also be exhausting, as some of those same lines continued non-stop for four or five hours at a time! For perspective: we typically cooked and served over 1000 meals in three days—averaging just about one meal every two minutes! Busy days filled with lots of work, great music and great people!
We’ve included photos here from many our events and festivals over the years. Have a look. If you know us—you may find yourself in one of our photos. Click on any photo to launch a slide show.
